TO ALL AUDIENCES:
As long as I’ve been a Christian, the news has always amazed me. The news points me, and every other watching Christian to one obvious fact: That the end is very near. Although I haven’t yet seen “2012”, this movie tells me that even the non-Christians sense this notion that we’re living in last days to be true.
I know that we Jesus people have been saying this for many generations, and this is a very valid argument. However, there have also been recent events foretold in the bible that have never happened before of which Jesus the Christ, the Apostle John in Revelations, and other prophets said would happen just before and during the very end. The reason I’m watching for these events is simply because Jesus told us Christians to. To be honest, I’m deeply sadden to see many church folk not watching, so my hope is to keep them abreast of what’s going on in relationship to end-times prophecy.
TO THE CHRISTIANS:
Some might say that I prefer looking for the bad news. This is not entirely true. Jesus said bad times will come before the Wrath of God comes, and bad news just so happens to be the majority of prophetic events I find in the news. But there are also good reports I find and share. For example, a recent FOX news report tells us that Noah’s Ark was found. A few years ago, I found another news report about how archeologists found the chariot wheels at the bottom of the Red Sea. These two reports confirm what’s written in the Old Testament as no longer being fables. Furthermore, I recently shared two good reports: one about how Satanic rock star Alice Cooper gave himself back to Jesus Christ and one about how Israel is starting to build its third temple, as foretold in bible prophecy to occur in the end times.
So why are we Christians supposed to watch for these events? In Matthew 24, Jesus said “when you see all these things, know that it is near--at the doors!” (some translations say “He” is near). In Luke 21, Jesus said “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”
That word “redemption” is a good thing if you are a Christian. Jesus was talking to his disciples over 2000 years ago, and the message remains the same to his disciples in 2010. We were told to watch and pray during all of this (Mark 13: 33).
TO THE NON-CHRISTIANS:
You are also my intended audience. The redemption Jesus was talking about in Mark 13: 33 is the prophetic event where Jesus Christ takes all of his disciples, both living and in the grave, to be with Him during God’s Wrath. The bible tells us that we’re not appointed to His Wrath, but it also tells us that things are going to get ugly before then. And if you still don’t believe me, then this is exactly why I’m sharing these prophetic news events for all to see; so that you might believe.
But don’t just believe me at my word. Check it out for yourselves. Most people acknowledge that Jesus Christ wasn’t a liar, so go ahead and read his prophetic words found in Matthew chapter 24. Also read the prophecies foretold in the first six or seven chapters of the Book of Revelation. Read also the last few chapters of the old testament book of Daniel. As for the event where Christ takes us out of the world before His Wrath, that’s found in 1 Thessalonians 4: 15-18, 5:9, and 2 Thessalonians 2: 1-12. I could go on and on with prophetic bible references but this, along with recent news events, should be convincing enough.
STILL DON’T BELIEVE ?
If you’re STILL not convinced, the only thing I can say to you is that you soon will be. Whatever you do, NEVER, take the mark of the beast, even if it costs you your life. The Book of Revelation refers to this mark as 666 and that it will be required in or on the hand or forehead (Rev 13: 16-18). Today we can only speculate what that mark will be. The Book of Revelation also tells us that nobody will be able to buy or sell without it so I’m speculating it’s some kind of implantable microchip (which is being used today) working as a debit card in the future. I may be wrong about the microchip but it does makes sense. Whatever it is, DON’T TAKE IT! It’s better to sacrifice this temporary life than eternal life.
OKAY, I’M DONE. But as promised, here’s the quicksand parable:
A man hiking on a trail suddenly finds himself sinking in quicksand. Fortunately, he's able to escape the quicksand and decides he better warn people back at the camp about it. Unfortunately, thinking he's a fool, many at the camp ignore his warnings and head off for the trail. Seven days later, the man reads their obituaries in the local newspaper.
Quicksand = We are all born on the Highway to Hell (eternal torment and flames)
Escaping the quicksand = Give yourself to Jesus Christ (the only way)
Obituaries = The majority of mankind throughout all the ages that refuse Jesus Christ.
